Toma and Bouma have undertaken numerous studies and projects involving environment, water and land. Economic Analysis of Soil Phosphorus Limits on Alberta Farms, 2005 The analysis is a detailed review of the economic impacts of a range of phosphorus limit standards on Alberta farms. The study comprises an overview of economic impact studies from other jurisdictions, an analysis of Alberta livestock populations and related phosphorus production and a detailed economic impact analysis on a typical Alberta feedlot and swine operation. A New Agricultural Perspective - Land Use Policy in Alberta, 2005 This report addresses the complexity of forces and conflicts affecting agricultural land in Alberta as well as the legislative frameworks within which decision making takes place. The report compiled data and information for a national policy process which is to be completed for national benefit. Marketing Plan and Business Plan, Edmonton Waste Management Centre of Excellence, 2004 The EWMCE (www.ewmce.ca) is a consortium of four major research institutions seeking to help private sector commercialize environmental technologies, educate communities and find new global market opportunities for Alberta and Canadian business. A two phase project was developed to help the non-profit company address these issues through facilitated meetings, market research, industry interviews and international calls to the World Bank, Mexico and others. The Future of Agriculture - Strathcona County, 2003 Faced with a multitude of pressures and competing land uses, the study outlines a strategy for the management and support of a vital industry sector for Strathcona County.
